Julie Wray Herman

Julie Wray Herman One day while Julie Wray Herman and two of her neighbors were sprucing up a flower bed, they got to talking about life in general, and people who had upset them in particular. Thanks to a chance comment from her friend, Becky -- the Three Dirty Women Landscaping, Inc mystery series was born. While Julie hasn’t actually buried anyone in her garden, she has always found gardening to be a good way to work off frustration, anxiety, and chocolate chip cookies.

Julie lives outside Houston, Texas with her husband, two angelic teenagers, and -- at last count -- one dog, two cats, two horses, and the creature who lurks in the pond. When Julie has time, she plans on taking the “All Strays Apply Here” sign down from her front porch.

A certified Texas Master Gardener, Julie is an active member of Mystery Writers of America and the American Crime Writer's League.

Three Dirty Women and the Shady Acres

Three Dirty Women and the Shady Acres Korine McFaile's mother-in-law, Dora, has moved in with her due to increased memory problems. Dora's latest fixation is to accuse Korine of allowing 'people' into their home to move Dora's things to make her look crazy. Dora is clearly showing the paranoia associated with Alzheimer's -- or is she?

When Dora's old friend, Olan Taggart, dies under the wheels of Dora's car in the drive of Shady Acres, Pine Grove's retirement home, Korine and J.J. find that they are once again embroiled in a murder that strikes too close to home
